Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00PM at First Baptist Church West Monroe, in Feazel Chapel under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Day was born on October 3, 1976 in Monroe, LA and passed away after a two year battle on January 22, 2015 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. She was our angel and super hero who embraced life. She never lost her sense of humor nor smile during her illness. She always liked to catch someone's eye so she could smile at them. Day loved her family and friends, she loved music, and she loved to laugh and make others laugh. Day used sign language and her favorite sign was "go for a ride". She was loved by many and today we rejoice in the fact that our Lord has called her to her heavenly home. Throughout her life she was always in God's favor which was very evident as he provided her every need. Preceded her in death was her grandfather, Louis Weil; and uncle, George Harrel. Survivors include parents, Donnie and Kim Sanders Weil; sisters, Sarah Weil Miller and Laura Weil; grandmother, Bobbie Parker Sanders; aunts, Vicki Harrel and Cindy Carmer; nephew, William Gabriel Miller; and many cousins. The family wishes to convey their sincerest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Glenwood Hospital and Ochsner Medical Center, with a special thanks to Dr. Ron Hammett and Dr. Askin Uysal. The family also wants to thank the nurses that provided the care and love to her at home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) Foundation.
