ROBERT WELCH

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert F. "Bobby" Welch, Sr., 69, of Columbia, LA, 
will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2014 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 
in West Monroe with Rev. Jimmy Piercy officiating. Interment with Military 
Honors will be held at Legions Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA.

Mr. Welch was born May 29, 1945 in Ferriday, LA and passed away on December 4, 
2014 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church. Mr. Welch 
served in the United States Army. He enjoyed barbequing, fishing, and spending 
time with family and friends. He loved life. Mr. Welch was a barber at Nelson's 
Barber Shop for over 27 years and before that he worked at Russell's where he 
received numerous awards.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Welch and Vashti Waltman Welch; 
brother, James Franklin Welch and his wife Latoyah.

Survivors include his three children, Michelle Welch Dyer, Robert F. Welch, 
Jr., and Ronne Anne Welch Cruse Massey; eight grandchildren, Carol Aline 
Greenlee, Bradley Dyer, Magane Dyer, Robert Welch III, Brianna Welch, Jesse 
Lowery, Jesseca Lowery, and Randyl Cruse; four great-grandchildren, Kimberlie, 
Carter, Tucker and Amaya; sister, Betty Walker and her husband Arnold Sr.; 
special nieces and nephew, Patty, Buffy, and Arnold Jr. as well as numerous 
nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Petey Griggs, Dandy Dove, Charles Swanson, Greg Welch, 
Roger McClanahan, Arnold Walker Jr., Doyle Nelson, and Kenneth Geter.

The children would like to extend a special thank you to Patty and the Walker 
Family for their special care of their Daddy.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 
Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.
