ELSIE WEEKS WELLS

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Elsie Weeks Wells, 93, of Monroe, 
LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2017 in the chapel of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. 
Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the Oakdale Cemetery in 
Oakdale, LA officiated by Rev. Jerry Johnson under the direction of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home Monroe.

Mrs. Wells was born in Turnersville, TX on May 15, 1924 and passed away on 
June 10, 2017 in Monroe, LA. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist 
Church in Oakdale, LA and was also a member of North Monroe Baptist Church 
after she moved to Monroe in 1999. Mrs. Wells is preceded in death by her 
husband of 54 years, Harold L. Wells; parents, Daniel and Bessie Weeks; 
step-mother, Leah Weeks; brothers, D.B., Harmon, Curtis, Alton, Glynn and 
Garland Weeks; and step-brother, Raymond Leonard.

Survivors include her son, Robert Wells; grandchildren, Angela Rugg and 
husband, Jeff and Ryan Wells and wife Betsy; great grandchildren, Hannah, 
Kyle, and Cameron Rugg, and Sarah, Katelyn and Leah Wells; along with 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Rugg, Kyle Rugg, Cameron Rugg, Larry McKinnie, 
Eddie Lawrence and Raymond Lawrence.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the North Monroe Baptist Church Building Fund.
