Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. West died Monday, September 5, 2016, at Avalon Place. Mrs. West, one of four children, was born on April 8, 1920 in Ripley, TN to the union of Elmer Chipman and Robert Lee Drumwright. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathleen and Agnes; and husband of 64 years, James Aubrey West. Frances and James moved to Monroe, LA in 1941, later returning to Monroe following James' tour of duty in World War II. Frances was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Senior Women's Adult Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting the needs of others before her own. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon West Brown of Monroe, LA; a son, Wayne L. West and wife Brenda of Lafayette, LA; two granddaughters, Kimberly Victoria Vanderhoeven and husband Dan of Shreveport, LA, and Elizabeth Dupre of Houma, LA; a brother James Robert Drumwright and wife Nina of West Chester, PA; and sister in law, Margaret West of West Monroe, LA. She is also survived by step great grandchildren, Cade and Jessi Vanderhoeven of Shreveport, LA and several special nieces and nephews. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Dan Vanderhoeven, Jr., Richard L. West, Lawrence H. Vaughn, Ernest R. Breard, Sedric E. Banks, and Glenn R. Taylor. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Charles Morgan and his staff, and additionally the staffs at Avalon Place, Azalea Estates, St. Francis Medical Center, and Mel's Pharmacy for the loving care given to Frances during her recent illness.
