MARY L. WETZEL

Mary L. Wetzel of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday January10, 2013 
after a courageous struggle with ovarian cancer. Mary was 56.

She is survived by Ben, her husband of 26 years; sons Scott and Eric; her 
parents Harvey and Barbara Bryant; sisters; Alice and Patricia; niece, Erica; 
nephew, Michael and her in-laws, Ben and Dru Wetzel.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Harvey and Matthew.

Mary received her BS in nursing at Northeast University (now University of 
Louisiana at Monroe) in 1978. She then attended the Geisinger Medical Center 
anesthesia program, graduating as a CRNA in 1982. Mary last worked as a nurse 
anesthetist at First State Orthopaedics Surgery Center.

Mary always followed her sons' school and sports activities, was an active 
reader and was active in the Women's Guild at St. Edmond's Academy. Mary was a 
great mom. Mary loved all her dogs, all three of them!

The family would like to thank the staff at the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 
Compassionate Care Hospice and all the terrific friends who provided support 
with a meal, a hug, a note or a visit.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 
15, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, N. Union and Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Faithful Friends, 12 
Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
