MATTHEW WETZEL JR.

Funeral services for Matthew Wetzel, Jr., 94, of Monroe, will be held at 
11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum 
Chapel with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at 
Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Wetzel died Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He retired from the United 
States Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant after 30 years of service.

Mr. Wetzel was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Wetzel; and parents, 
Matthew Wetzel, Sr., and Ethel Logan Wetzel.

Survivors include his daughter, Anne Saletta of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, 
Jessamyn Lopez of Mt. Prospect, IL; great granddaughter, Althea Lopez of Mt. 
Prospect, IL; and brother, William W. Wetzel of Monroe, LA.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the Mulhearn 
Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association , 
Hospice Compassus, or the charity of your choice .
