Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Amy was born on November 3, 1971 in Monroe, La. and left this earth to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 as a result of a car accident. She was a graduate of Ouachita High School in Monroe, LA and Mississippi College in Clinton, MS, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing. She was employed at Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Jackson, MS where she dedicated many years in her nursing career to the veterans of our country, the last six years she served as nurse recruiter for the hospital making sure each nurse was just as dedicated to the service and care of our veterans. Amy attended Swartz First Assembly of God Church. Many of her life's Joys were gardening, time spent with family, Christmas shopping and tending to her best friend, her mom. However the greatest joy of Amy's life was spending time with her daughter Savanna who was the light of her life and her whole world. She will be remembered for her smile and great humor and the ability to make everyone feel like a friend. Life as we know it ended today. She was preceded in death by her loving and dedicated stepfather, Ernest L. Berry. Amy is survived by her daughter, Savannah Addison Joette Wheat of Brandon, MS and her husband, Sherman Anthony Wheat, also of Brandon, MS; mother, Annette T. Berry of Monroe; father, James W. Mobley and wife Dottie of Winnsboro; brother, Teddy James Berry and niece, Bianca Berry, both of Little Rock, AR; and her loving second dad, Loyd "Foxy Loxy" Fox of Conroe ,TX. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cerda, Jason Craft, Mike Bishop, Jr., Zack Boone, Christopher Williams, Curtis Hilburn, RV Arnold, Kevin Woods. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
