Born March 10, 1987 in Monroe, LA to Larkin and Donna Harrell Whetstone, Micah always had a smile and a sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to anyone he was around. He was always taking care of someone and making sure they had what they needed. He always made sure no one ever felt left out. The love he had for his children was so evident and the special relationship they shared was known by all. Spending time with MaKenna and Baylen and caring for them was his greatest joy. Watching them together as they talked and laughed and played brought smiles to everyone and the love they shared was an inspiration to us all. In addition to his children and parents, Micah is survived by his family, who loves him with all their hearts, brothers, Ryan and Caden Whetstone; sister- in-law, Ashley; grandparents, Helen Whetstone, Dell and Judi Murphy and Robert and Darlene Harrell; nephew, Camden Whetstone and other loving family and friends. Preceding him in death were his brother, Colby Whetstone; grandfather, Craig Whetstone and great grandparents, Marion and Alice Clark. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm. A celebration of his life service will be held Friday June 3, 2016 at 10am. Both will be held at Griffin Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. with the Rev. Jason Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Oak Ridge, LA. The world was a better place having you in it, Micah, and we thank God for you and for being able to share your life and your love. We will all cherish the memories we made with you and we will love you and miss you for the rest of our lives, but we know you trusted in Jesus and we'll be together again when you welcome us with your smiling face and open arms. Kenna and Bay, remember all the days of your lives how much Daddy loves you. You were his world.
