Rayville, LA

Funeral services for Ambrose White, age 90, of Rayville, LA will be held 10:00 
AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with 
Bro. John Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Greer Cemetery, Rayville, 
LA.

Mr. White was born May 5, 1919 and went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 12, 
2009.

Mr. White was a member of Zebedee Baptist Church. He was a WW II Army veteran 
having served in Germany.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Flavie White; daughter, Ethel 
Carnahan; sisters, Lou Basco, Liza Holloway, and Evelyn Vandersypen; brothers, 
Johnny White and Jimmy White; great granddaughter, McKenna White.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 31 years, Pauline 
U. White; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charlie Dowden; son, Melvin 
White; sister, Rose Basco; brother, Artis White; 9 grandchildren and 16-great 
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Leroy Ratcliff, Charles Ratcliff, Brian Ratcliff, Ricky 
Lacaze, Dewayne Lacaze, and Mark Wilcher.
