A visitation for family and friends will be held at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. White passed away on September 1, 2017, at age 90. Born on February 23, 1927, at Bailey, Mississippi from the union of Thomas Linton Covington and Ruby Mae Gibson, she was the ninth of 12 children, and she was preceded in death by her parents and all but 3 of her siblings. She and her husband, Louis Ray (Whitey) White were the parents of 3 sons, Larry White (wife Ginger), Clyde White (wife Pat) and Al White (wife Dorothy). Also preceding her in death were her husband, Whitey; her son, Al; and granddaughter, Courtney White. She is survived by sons, Larry and Clyde; grandsons, Kevin White, Slade White, Reed White, Jason White, and Ben White; sisters, Mary Chaney and Patsy Flowers; and brother, Tommy Covington. She is also survived by three great grandsons and three great granddaughters, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be her 5 grandsons and great grandson, Eli White. The family wishes to thank her doctors, the staff at Azalea Estates Assisted Living Center; and her sitters, Connie Jackson Stenson, Chandra Wedner, and Katheryn Jackson. Mrs. White will be remembered as a devoted wife of 57 years to her husband and a loving, caring person to all of her family. She was a lifelong Presbyterian and memorials can be sent to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA.
