ANNIE LAVERNE WHITEHEAD

Funeral services for Annie Laverne Whitehead, 81, of West Monroe, will be held 
at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 28, 2014 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 
West Monroe. Rev. Larry Hibbard will officiate. Interment will follow at Beulah 
Cemetery, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West 
Monroe.

Laverne was born October 4, 1932 and passed away July 24, 2014 in Farmerville. 
She was a member of West Monroe Methodist Protestant Church, a longtime resident 
of Ouachita Parish, and a homemaker. Laverne was preceded in death by her 
husband, J.L. Whitehead; son, Jerry Lee Whitehead; four grandchildren; her 
parents, John and Mary Lou Sandlin; brother, Donny Sandlin.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Sant and husband Jake, Melinda 
Hedgepeth and husband Danny, Mary Jo Hodges and husband Mark; son, John 
Whitehead; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the 
way; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Melba Bonnett and 
Laverne Wright along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home, West Monroe
