He was born in Lincoln, Illinois on December 8, 1932. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a quick wit and ready laugh. These were great attributes for his many years in sales and advertising. They also made him many lifelong friends. He was also a man of faith which was a comfort to him as his health failed. He was preceded in death by his parents William Don and Katherine Long Wible, and his brother John Terry Wible. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Thompson Wible; his two daughters, Susan Wible and Karen Wible Bradford and her husband John Bradford; his two grandsons, Colton Bradford and his wife Amy, and Jake Bradford; and his sister, Diane Wible Clark of Dallas, TX. In 2008 he arranged to give his body to LSU-Shreveport. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parkview Baptist Church, 1001 Forsythe Avenue, Monroe, La. Rev. Calton Yeager will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
