Concordia Funeral Home Ferriday, LA

Funeral services for Woodrow Wiley, Sr., 92, of Waterproof, LA will be held 
Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM from Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof 
with Rev. Robert Lee, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Good Samaritan 
Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of 
Ferriday, LA.

Mr. Wiley, son of Victor and Amanda Jones Wiley was born September 22, 1916 in 
Waterproof, LA and died May 26, 2009 at Natchez Regional Medical Center in 
Natchez, MS. He was the owner of Wiley's Grocery and a Constable for the Tensas 
Parish Ward III for twenty-nine years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Estelle; two daughters, Mary 
Estelle and Amanda; three sisters, Cassie Goodman, Edna Fant and Almeda Gales; 
seven brothers, Roland, George, Homer, Oscar, Louis, Victor and Ted Wiley.

Mr.Wiley is survived by one son, Woodrow Wiley, Jr. and his wife, Gladys Jean; 
one daughter, Carol W. Turner; son-in-law, Harold Turner; two sisters, Alice 
Harness all of Waterproof; Dorothy Spain of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren 
and five great-grandchildren.
