Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean McKaskle Wilkes, 76, of West Monroe, LA, 
will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday January 16, 2009 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church 
West Monroe, LA. Rev. Rick McPherson and Rev. Everett Geis will officiate . 
Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction 
of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Wilkes was born January 24, 1932 in West Monroe and passed away January 
14, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and 
was also a pianist at the church for many years. Mrs. Wilkes was a loving wife, 
mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Wilkes, two brothers, Paul and 
C.D. McKaskle; sister, Mary Wilkes and a grandson, Daniel Wilkes.

Mrs. Wilkes is survived by two sons, Michael Wilkes, Sr. and wife Annette and 
John Wilkes and wife Teresa; sister, Juanita Davis; six grandchildren; Michael 
Wilkes, Jr., Ashley Shyrock, Cody Wilkes, Elisha Coats, Johnny Kilpatrick and 
Mary Kilpatrick; three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Wilkes, Jr., Cody Wilkes, Greg Shyrock, Johnny 
Kilpatrick, Brad Coats and Chad Webb.
