LUCILLE ELLERMAN WILLHITE
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Tallulah, LA

Visitation for Mrs. Lucille Ellerman Willhite of Tallulah, LA will be Sunday, 
April 26 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah. 
Graveside services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Willhite died April 23, 2009 at the Olive Branch Nursing Home after a 
brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. Derwood 
Willhite, Sr. USA retired, her parents Augusta and Frank Ellerman, five 
brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by sons Derwood Willhite, Jr. and wife Edie of Tallulah and 
Weldon Barry Willhite and wife Susan of Poughkeepsie, NY; five grandchildren 
Keri Willhite and husband Marshall, Lt. Barry Willhite, USN and wife Jennifer, 
Sharon Willhite Wade and husband Ryan, Brandi Willhite Knaus and husband Capt. 
Dustin Knaus, USA, and SP4 Derwood James (Dub) Willhite and wife Megan; two 
step-grandchildren, twelve great-grand-children; two step-great-grandchildren 
and numerous nieces and nephews.

"Miss Lucy" was a well-known and loved long time resident of Madison Parish 
having moved into Hunter's Bend area outside of Tallulah after her marriage to 
Derwood. She was born in Winnsboro, LA on November 28, 1920, the youngest of 
eleven children. She was a lifetime member of the Madison Chapter #94 Order of 
the Eastern Star.

Pallbearers will be Scott Cobb, Scott Wallace, J. T. Odell, Dub Willhite, Mike 
Willhite, Barry Willhite, Marshall Walters and Dustin Knaus.
