EDWARD "WELDON" WILLIAMS

Funeral services for Edward "Weldon" Williams, 87 of West Monroe will be held 
at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West 
Monroe. Reverend Woody Rimes will be officiating. Interment will be at 
Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.

Weldon was born on March 15, 1924 in West Monroe, LA and passed away on 
January 3, 2012.

He was a self-made man, a building contractor who built many fine homes in the 
Monroe area. He later purchased his father's business and built fine oak 
church furniture for churches across the country. He was an avid hunter, 
fisherman and loved his cattle. He was a World War II veteran serving in the 
United States Navy.

Preceding him in death was his wife Dorothy Dowdy Williams; brother Audry 
Williams; sister Ila Mae Woodlee; and parents Laster and Evie Williams.

Surviving along with his wife Bess Greer Williams is daughter Linda Williams 
DeMoss; brother, Laster "Sonny" Williams and wife Sue; sisters, Oreatha Beard, 
Nola Fae Horne and husband, Edward; sister in law, Anna Joyce Simpson; 
grandchildren, Darren DeMoss and wife Nicole, Deidre Hilburn and husband, 
Chris, Dirk DeMoss and wife, Mandy; nine great grandchildren; step children, 
Vickie LaCas and husband, Harvey, Rickey Greer; step grandchildren, Kristy 
DeMoss, Kimberly Lambert and husband Jody; two step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home in West Monroe.
