Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 1997 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jesse Smith, assisted by Rev. Alton Peel, officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Lincoln Parish. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and had retired from the Building and Grounds Department of Louisiana Tech. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jimmerson Williams. The family wishes to thank the staff and workers of the Baptist Retirement Center of Arcadia, especially the 3rd hall nurses and aides. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands whom he loved as sons: Ruby and Lewis Best of Marshall, TX, and Peggy and Phil Zachry of West Monroe; five grandsons and their wives: Tony and Karen Zachry, Mark and Tammy Zachry, Steven and Jeanette Zachry, all of West Monroe, Charly and Connie Best of Longview, TX and Michael and Ronna Best of Longview. Seven great- grandchildren: Erik, Emery, Katie, Paul and Kyle Zachry, and Lindsay and Blake Best; one sister: Dean Williams Bryant of Ruston; three sisters-in-law: Addie and Needa Williams and Glennie Jimmerson; and a special neighbor and friend: Grace Carney. Pallbearers will be Brooks Bryant, Jr., Jimmy Bryant, Marshall Williams, Sam Williams, Jessie Lee Jimmerson, and Robert Lonider. Honorary Pallbearer is Bob Jimmerson. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Retirement Center in Arcadia in memory of Kennedy Coleman, an orderly who lovingly cared for Uncle Dick. The may also be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Memory of Mr. Williams. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
