D. Williams, Jr.), 93, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, 3900 Loop Road, Monroe with Dr. Tommy Dunbar officiating. Graveside service will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Williams passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at Avalon Place. She was a graduate of Mer Rouge High School, Louisiana State Normal College, and Soulé College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, DAR - Ft. Miro Chapter, Twentieth Century Book Club, and Pi Kappa Sigma Alpha - Delta Chapter. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Dallas Williams, Jr.; parents, Charles O. Golson and Mattie Sisson Golson; and brother, C. O. Golson, Jr. Survivors include her children, Joan Wallace and husband Riley, Charles Williams and wife Pattie, Susan Dunbar and husband Tommy, and David Williams and wife Peggy; eleven grandchildren, Rob, Kellie, Ryan, Mark, Kim, Amy, Laura, Holly, Jeffrey, Aaron, and Ashley; ten great-grandchildren, Jackson, Robbie, Parker, Avery, Dominic, Andrew, Emery, Sarah, Braylon, and Brandon; as well as other family members and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 PM until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Ministry of Hope at First United Methodist Church of Monroe, Ouachita Parish Public Library, Hospice Compassus, or Alzheimer's Association.
