Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Monroe, LA. "Tense" was born on July 11, 1915 in Ludington, LA, to the late Henry Tabor and the late Katie Weir Tabor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Riley Williams; parents, Henry and Katie Tabor; sisters, Florence, Birdie and Bebe. She is survived by her daughter, Carole "Sue" Williams; son, Harry Lee (Darlene) Williams, Sr.; grandchildren, Christian (Kelly) Williams, Chancellor (Melissa) Williams, Harry Lee (Chere') Williams, Jr. and Dawn Delea Guice. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and by her many loyal employees and their children. The family would like to give a sincere thank you to Gloria Spivey who was their loyal and faithful housekeeper and friend, for the past 35 years. The loving care she gave mother during her illness the last two years will never be forgotten. She was always willing to go the extra mile and always with a smile on her face. A sincere thank you to all the wonderful care given by all the employees of Hospice Compassus. Special thanks to Nickki Cowan, Otis Griffin and Shari Jones. A special thank you for her sitters and caregivers, Otis Griffin, Shari Jones, Leslie Wallace and Mrs. Emma. Mrs. Williams was president of Monroe Welding Supply Inc. from 1987 until 2012. Mr. Riley and "Tense" founded the company in August 1948. During this time, they were able to travel to many conventions and see many parts of the country. "Tense" loved to travel and go to the horse races, Las Vegas, anywhere she could go to bet and play the slots. "Tense" also loved her yard, her flowers and loved to swim in her pool in the mornings before work in her p.j.'s. She loved to teach her grandchildren how to swim. She loved her children, grandchildren and all her employees and their children. She had a loving, gentle nature and giving spirit. After Riley passed away in 1987, "Tense" became president of Monroe Welding Supply. She stayed in this position until 2012 when she had to retire at the age of 96. Up until this time, she still drove to work every day and was one sharp and feisty lady. Pallbearers will be Robert "Mac" McNeely, John "Bo" Redding, Casey Williams, Robert Frost, Ray Newman and Brian Herrington. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie McNair, Ben Allen, Dave Elliott, Jerry Thomas and Harry Lee Williams, Sr. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Northeast Louisiana Food Bank or the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
