A native of Winnfield, he was retired from law enforcement having previously been employed with Northwestern State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, West Monroe Police Dept., Ouachita Parish Coroner's Office, and the Medical Examiners Office in Orlando. He was a member of the LA Peace Officers Assn, LA Municipal Police Officers Assn, President, West Monroe Police Assn, Past Vice-President and member, West Monroe Police Relief Assn, Member, First Baptist Church of Winnfield, Master Mason, J. C. Stewart Lodge # 460. Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his Parents, Welby and Louise Willis and Brother, Jerry B. Willis. Survivors include his Sisters, Joyce Buxton, Alexandria, Julia A. Romino, Spring City, TN and; Brother, James A. Willis, Livingston, LA. Visitation on Saturday, August 16 at Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield La., from 11:00 AM until time of services. Funeral services following at 1:00 with Rev. Tuck Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or The Municipal Police Officers Association of LA.
