Interment will be in the Alexandria National Cemetery in Pineville, LA. Betty "MiMi" was born May 6, 1923 in Highland Park, Michigan and passed away October 15, 2015 in Monroe, LA at the age of 92. Betty was a retired technical illustrator in the Engineering Dept. at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Mom was truly one of "The Greatest Generation". She was extremely proud of her contribution to the War effort. While her future husband was landing at Normandy fighting across France and Belgium through the "Battle of the Bulge" she worked at Henry Ford's Bomber Factory in Willow Run Michigan where the B -24 Liberator Bombers were being built at a rate of 1 every 100 minutes. She and her husband, Harry, moved to Monroe, LA in 1984 to be closer to family. They enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband for many years displaying his award winning carvings of wildlife including ducks and songbirds. She was truly the "Best" Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who was always willing to go above and beyond at all times. She was a very "giving" person and always donated to the less fortunate whether it was a person or an animal. She loved reading and all animals and wildlife, especially her beloved yellow lab, Boogie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Harry J. Willsher and brother, Bob Witherspoon. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bob and Laura Willsher; granddaughters Alison Sanford and husband Jim, and Lauren Willsher; great- granddaughters Kate and Lillian Sanford. One niece and three nephews. She is also survived by her special "Breard" family including Peggy (David), Herbert (Janet), Ernest (Debbie), Mike (Colette), Morgan (Denise) and their children and families and family friend Nancy Scurria in which she enjoyed weekly "Sunday dinners" and all special occasions and treasured many memorable times.
