DYSON WILSON Kilpatrick Funeral Home -West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. Dyson Wilson, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2006 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe Chapel. Rev. Gene Thomas will be officiating. Interment will follow at Culbertson Cemetery in Union Parish under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Wilson was born June 2, 1917 in Wyatt, LA and passed away February 4, 2006 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Wilson was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in West Monroe, retired from Manville papermill with thirty-two years of service. He was a communications operator in the U.S. Army and trained others to utilize Morse code; in WWII he was in the 34th Field Artillery. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his sisters Ellen Holsenbeck and Marie Naquin. He was an avid gardener, and will be remembered for his humor, generosity, great kindness, magical manner, and ability to entertain with a story that only he could tell. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife: Lurline Wilson; daughter: Beverly Wilson Alsup; sister: Martha Haley; brother: H.O. Wilson, both of West Monroe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
