Tom lived with his wife, Joan, for nearly 50 years in Monroe, where they raised three children and were passionate Neville Tiger fans. Tom was a Bossier High School graduate and attended Louisiana Tech University. He owned two successful companies, Wilson Doors & Hardware and North Louisiana Doors & Hardware, and was highly regarded as a reliable, honest businessman who treated everyone with kindness and respect. A devoted deacon and session member at Westminster and then Graceminster Presbyterian Churches, he loved pitching for his church softball team; making homemade peach ice cream; crafting pieces for loved ones in his woodworking shop; working in his yard; reading; watching cowboy movies; and playing the course out his back door at Pine Hills Golf Club, where he once made a hole-in-one. He loved the beach at Gulf Shores, the French Quarter, and the mountains out West, where he traveled recently to visit his son, daughter, and brand new grandson. That's what he loved most of all: family gatherings. Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years; his three children, Lori Hassion, Mindy Wilson, and Michael Wilson; and his three grandchildren, Kaylee Hassion, Graham Hassion, and Grey Wilson. He will live forever in our hearts. A visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Graceminster Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 20, at 1:00 PM, at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue in Shreveport. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
