HERMAN RANDALL WOOD
Cox Funeral Home

Oak Grove, Louisiana

Funeral services for Herman Randall Wood, age 77, formerly of Pioneer, La will 
be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Cox Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde 
Sanchez officiating. Interment will be in the New Forest Cemetery. Services 
are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 
4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Autumn LeeAnn Wood; parents, Eck 
Wood and Estel Wood.

Mr. Wood served as deacon at Pioneer Baptist Church for over 20 years and was 
presently a member at Forest Baptist Church where he also served as deacon. He 
was a devoted husband and father who was loved dearly. Mr. Wood, along with 
his family, farmed in Pioneer for over 40 years.

Herman is survived by his wife, Shirley Wood of Monroe, La; son, Hugh Wood and 
wife Frannie Wood of Calhoun, La; daughter, Sheila Sanchez and husband Dr. 
Clyde Sanchez of West Monroe, La; daughter, Cheryl Arnold and husband Dr. Tom 
Arnold of Shreveport, La; son, Henry Wood and wife Aubrey Wood of Ruston, La; 
8 grandchildren, Heath "Woody" Wood, Wendy Petrus, Erin Nettles, Mallory 
Sanchez, Bradley Arnold, Sarah Arnold, Ainsley Wood, Addison Wood; 2 brothers, 
Richard Wood and Garland Wood; sister, Wanda Owens all from California.

Pallbearers will be Steve Rye, Steve Henderson, Adam Plunkett, Howard 
Ainsworth, Clifton Vining, Perry Brantley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Rye, Bob Brantley.
