Tim Neustifter officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Woodard died Friday, September 30, 2016, after a long illness in Monroe, LA. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Monroe. Mrs. Woodard was born November 23, 1934, in Epps, Louisiana; she was the third child of the late Lewis Cordell "Ray" Tharpe and Nell Hawkins Tharpe. Mrs. Woodard worked for many years at the Olinkraft (later Manville, Riverwood) paper mill in West Monroe, serving as a supervisor in the data processing department until her retirement. Mrs. Woodard loved to entertain family and friends and it gave her a chance to show off her passion for cooking. With her collection of over 700 cookbooks and assorted family recipes, she had much to draw ideas from. When she wasn't cooking, she and her husband Johnny could often be found on the weekends scouring rummage and garage sales for bargains. Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her husband of more than 46 years, Johnny Woodard; her parents; sister, Jacqueline Faye Tharpe Adams Hamer; and brother, Dwain C. Tharpe. Survivors include her son, Phillip Randall "Randy" Hunnicutt and wife Sally; two grandchildren, Keith Hunnicutt and wife Jessica, and Jarrett Todd Hunnicutt and wife Alisa; stepson, Mike Woodard and wife Gaylynn; two step- grandchildren, Michael Woodward and Courtney Woodard all of Sedalia, MO; sister, Sybil Tharpe Shivers of Monroe; sister-in-law, Mary Pat Tharpe of Crowville; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Keith Hunnicutt, Todd Hunnicutt, Ray Shivers, Kent Shivers, J.P. Ladart, Raymond Self and Mark Anyon. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA.
