JOHNNY WOODARD 

Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA 

Funeral services for Johnny Woodard will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 
in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Officating 
is J. Roddy Taylor, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Interment 
will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Johnny was born on March 19, 
1934 to Guy and Florrie Woodard in Shreveport, LA and passed away Saturday, 
January 9, 2010 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Johnny was an avid 
duck hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and 
sharing stories about their hunting experiences. The family would like to 
thank Premier Care Hospice for their exceptional care they have given to 
Johnny for the past eight months, and to Philip Thomas at Pilots for Patients 
for the tremendous service he provided. Johnny is preceded in death by his 
parents, Guy and Florrie Woodard. Survivors include his devoted wife, Frances 
Tharpe Woodard of forty-six years; his son, Rick Woodard and two 
grandchildren, Joseph and Katie of Pass Christian, MS; son, Mike Woodard and 
wife Gaylynn and two grandchildren, Courtney and Michael of Sedalia, MO; step-
son, Randy Hunnicutt and wife Sally and two grandchildren, Keith Hunnicutt and 
Todd Hunnicutt of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Sybil Shivers of Monroe, LA; 
brother and sister-in-law, Dwain and Pat Tharpe of Crowville, LA. Pallbearers 
will be Raymond Self, J.P. LaDart, Tommy Cruse, Ray Pierce, Jim Gilstrap, 
Jimmy Fordham, Jim Holmes, Sonny Foreman, and Lee Williams. Honorary 
pallbearers will be H.M. Butler, Phillip Thomas, Johnny T. Johnson, Tommy 
Dansby, Mike McMullen, Zeke Spence, Kash Schriever, Ray Newman, Kevin Hudson, 
Dusty Daniels, and Danny Bragg. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM 
Monday, January 11, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. 
In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in memory of Johnny, to Pilots for 
Patients, 3127 Mercedes Dr., Monroe, LA 71201.
