Ms. Woods was born in Aztec, New Mexico and passed away at her residence in Monroe on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was a retired food technician and has been a resident of Monroe, LA for the past 27 years. Ms. Woods was an avid member of the Ouachita Council on Aging, where she visited with friends and loved to play cards and bingo. Ms. Woods traveled to all 50 states always bringing back some type of souvenirs. She shared all her time with her special friend "Nan" that she met shortly after moving to Monroe. They both enjoyed working together on different projects and relaxing watching TV. Ms. Woods was quite the character and was a jack of all trades. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, beading, painting, and was very creative in anything she did. Ms. Woods was preceded in death by her three sons and her parents. Survivors include her loving and devoted life partner, Nanette Mosely of Monroe; three daughters, Teri Sistrunk of Monroe; Fritzie Goetter of California and Timberlee Moad of Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
