DR. JOHN A. WRIGHT

Owens Memorial Chapel

Ruston, LA.

Funeral services for Dr. John A. Wright, 84 of Ruston will be held 10:00AM 
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston. 
Officiating will be Dr. Edwin Davis. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery. Dr. Wright died Saturday, September 20, 2008 in Ruston.

Dr. Wright was retired from Louisiana Tech University where he had served as 
Associate Dean of Life Sciences. Dr. Wright had served as president of the LA 
Tech University Club from 1975-1976, was a member of The Lincoln Garden 
Council, a member of The La Tech Horticulture Society and a member of The 
Church of Christ. Dr. Wright was a WW II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet B. Wright of Ruston: Sons, Dr. 
Andy Wright and wife Shelia of Springfield, Mo; Alan Wright of Arcadia: 
Grandchildren, Megan Hairston and husband Scott; Erica Brown and husband Earl 
and Gretchen Wright: Great Grandchildren, Earl William Brown V and Quaid 
Hairston: Niece, Barbara Misenhier and husband Don of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hal B. Baker, Jesse Moore and Abbie Coleman.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cole, Van Grafton, Scott Easley, Brody Telford, Ray 
Mathews and Doug Croft.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, September 23, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 
PM at the funeral home.
