Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ottis Lenoir officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Wyant was born on June 9, 1953 and passed away in Monroe, LA on January 24, 2016. As an employee of Mid South Extrusion for over 14 years, Veda was always grateful for her working family. MSE owners, managers, and personnel were always good to her. She was a devoted member of Christ Church. She absolutely loved her place of worship and being part of such a loving and family oriented church. They were always there showing God's love. There is nothing she loved more than God, her family and friends. Veda is preceded in death by her step father, Leon Stephens; mother, Elver R. Stephens; brothers, Stephen Landry and Johnny Stephens. Survivors include her husband, Steven Wyant; children, Charles Landry and wife, Ginger; Cory Wentzel and wife, Blanca; LaChelle McVay and husband, Trey; Elaina Neal and husband, Scott; Jason Bowlin; and step son, Steven P. Wyant; grandchildren, Zach Falletta, Christian and Paloma Bautista, Jasmine Evans, Jesslyn and Cierra Landry, Landon and Peyton McVay, Katherine Wentzel, and Anna and Andrew Bowlin; three great grandchildren; brothers, Lamont Landry and wife, Brenda; Andre Landry and wife, Denise; Ed Landry and wife, Wendy; and Anthony Stephens and wife, Florine. Pallbearers will be Charles Landry, Cory Wentzel, Jason Bowlin, Trey McVay, Scott Neal, and Andre Landry. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until Service Time on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Disabled American Veterans . She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She will be truly missed by everyone.
