PRENTICE M. YOUNG 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA 

Funeral services for Prentice M. Young, age 86, of Coushatta, LA will be 3:00 
PM Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. 
Officiating the service will be Rev. Bennie Alford assisted by Rev. Tom Smith. 
Interment will follow in the Simsboro Cemetery, in Simsboro, LA under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Mr. Young was born in 
Hico, LA on September 2, 1921 and passed away in Jena, LA on December 28, 
2007. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Coushatta, LA. 
Mr. Young retired from T. L. James Co. with 30 years of service. He is 
survived by his children James T. Young and wife Judy of Tennessee; Jane 
Phillips and husband Johnnie of Jena, LA; Don Young and wife Beverly of 
Pineville, LA; brothers, Garland Young of Minden, LA and Grover Young of 
Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Shelley, Truett, Jill, Christine, and Jennifer; 
sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers 
will be Steve Adams, Charles Longino, Johnny Kemp Jr., Glen Procell, Jimmy 
Hoogland, and Richard Paulus. Honorary pallbearers will be the Silent 
Brotherhood Coushatta Masonic Lodge, Johnny Kemp Sr., and Charles Harper. 
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
