AVALYN WOOD YOUNG

Avalyn Wood Young passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at The Heights in Tyler.

She was born January 5, 1927 in Huttig, Arkansas to Lewis and Audrey Tucker 
Wood.

Avalyn enjoyed crossword puzzles, drinking coffee and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert E. Young, Sr., her 
parents; sister, Chlois Simmons of West Monroe, Louisiana and brother, Robert 
Wood of Jena, Louisiana.

She is survived by her loving family including her children, Bob Young, Jr. and 
wife Ginger of Tyler, David Young and wife Kathy of Tyler; grandchildren, Olivia 
Young of Tyler, Christy McKay of Haughton, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Drake 
and Lainee McKay; sister, Clara Mae Hinson of Searcy, Arkansas and numerous 
nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful people from The Heights and The Hospice 
of East Texas for their excellent care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA of East Texas, P.O. Box

charity of your choice
