EVELYN ARMALEE YOUNG - FRUGE 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA 

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Young-Fruge, of West Monroe will be held at 
3:00 PM Sunday, July 19 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe with Pastor 
Courtney Hatten, officiating. Services are under the direction of the 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. Fruge was born December 22, 1919, 
in Zimmerman, LA, and passed away peacefully at home in West Monroe, LA on 
July 17, 2009, at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her parents Thad 
Wiley Young and Lillian Owen Young, her husband George Fruge, and brothers 
George Emmit, Bill and Mayo Young and one sister Beatrice Furlow. Mrs. Fruge 
is survived by her children Mary Sheppard, Neal Robinson, Janice Stracener, 
and Donna Clabaugh. She is also survived by eight grand-children, Janeen 
Doskocil, Liza Robinson, Terry Phelps, David "Rocky" Phelps, Susanne Hatten, 
Robin Shumake, Steve Franks, Jacqueline Devine and seven great grand children, 
Jaycee Mayo, Leah Yancey, Stacey Hatten, B.J. Townsend, Clay Eppinette, Sideon 
Devine and Liam Sexton. She spent her childhood in Alexandra, LA where she 
attended Alexandra High School and then moved to Monroe, LA where she married, 
became a homemaker and raised her children. Memorials may be made to Habitat 
for Humanity, Monroe, LA
