Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Mrs. Zoll died Tuesday, November 4, 1997 at St. Francis Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Zoll was a member of Parkview Baptist church in Monroe where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. Mrs. Zoll taught school in Ouachita Parish for 38 years. Her last 20 years in the profession she served as principal of Lakeshore Elementary, until her retirement in 1969. During her years teaching, Mrs. Zoll served as president of the Ouachita Classroom Teacher's Association, Ouachita Education Association, district Principal's Association, and the State Principal's. She also represented Louisiana's Principals on the L.S.U. Centennial Program in 1960. After retirement she served on several committees and as president of the Ouachita Retired Teachers Association and also as organizer and president of the District Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Zoll was a member of the Louise L. McGuire Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star #4 for over 60 years where she served as Worthy Matron and many other offices. She also served as Grand Marshall of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was member and former Regent of the Fort Miro Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Zoll was a member and past president of the Daughters of Colonial Wars, Daughters of American Colonists and Daughters of the War of 1812. She also served as past president of the Monroe Garden Club, College Heights Garden Club and the Miro Book Club. Mrs. Zoll was a member of the Phi Lambda Pi Sorority and the Twin City Study Club. Mrs. Zoll was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Zoll; her parents: Robert Lee and Linnie Mae Thomas Moore; seven brother: Robert Lee Moore, Jr., John Wyatt Moore, Richard Jim Moore, William Taliaferro Moore, James Aaron Moore, Dan Woodrow Moore, and Oren Oliver Moore; and one sister: Ruth Moore Lee. Survivors include her daughter: Mrs. Charles Steven Myer (Dr. Lynn Zoll Tucker) of Baton Rouge) of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandsons: Eric Bradford Tucker and his wife Shoni Swenson tucker of Dallas, TX, and Carl Alexander Tucker of Knoxville, TN. Pallbearers will be Frank Hanvey, James W. Moore, Jr., Dallas Webb, Johnny Glover, Floyd Mathis, Henry Little, John Sneak, and Luzon Joiner. Visitation will from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road and from noon till service time at the church.
