All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Christy Kelso macso@att.net May 24, 2006, 3:00 pm Ouachita Parish Courthouse, Recorded Apr 13, 1903, Book 32, Page 341 To the Honorable the Judge of the Sixth District Court in and for the Parish of Ouachita; State of Louisiana The petition of Miss Lula Beatrice White, wife of Chester McClusky a resident of your said parish and state with respect repsents that she intermarried with the said Chester McClusky in Monroe, La on July 7, 1896 and that she lived with the said McClusky as a dutiful wife until October 1901, when his conduct became and continued such as to render their living together insuffortable. --- that one child, a boy, named Joseph, five years old, is the sole issue of said marriage. Petitioner alleges that her husband, the said Chester McClusky, has at various times and place and with various woman committed acts of adultery/ that he has deserted petitioner and their child, abandoned her home and become the consort and companion of leud and defiant women. Petitioner shows that this conduct on the part of her said husband entitles her to an absolute divorce from him. Wherefor she ---- that she may be authorized to prosecute this suit and stated in judgment herein: that Chester McClusky be cited to appear and answer hereton and on fiscal trial that she recover judgment forever dissolving the bonds of matrimony existing between her and the said Chester McClusky. Petitioner further ---- that she be given the care and custody of their minor son, Joseph McClusky, ----for all costs and for general relief. Defendant having been regularly cited and having failed to appear, a default has entered against him and the --- --- having been set aside after the lapse of two judicial days, plaintiff having proved her demand in open court and the law and the evidence being in favor thereof, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the --- divorce judgment against her said husband, Chester McClusky, decreeing a final an absolute divorce forever dissolving the bonds of matrimony existing between them. It is further ordered that plaintiff be given the care and custody of the minor child Joseph McClusky of herself and defendant.
