To any ordained Minister of the Gospel or to any Justice of the Peace authorized
according to law to celebrate Marriage within said Parish, Greeting:
You are hereby authorized and fully empowered to write the Bonds of Matrimony
and Holy Wedlock Mr. John T. Thompson and Mrs. Eliza Jane Vinson both residents
of the State aforesaid and to solemnize and celebrate the said marriage between
the parties as above named according to the laws and customs of the State of
Louisiana and make your return here and as the law directs and this shall be
your authority for so doing.
Given under my hand and seal of office on this 21st day of December 1865.

I hereby certify that I have authority in pursuance of the foregoing license
celebrated and solemnized a marriage between Mr. John T. Thompson and Mrs. Eliza
Jane Vinson agreeably to the laws and customs of the State of Louisiana. In

undersigned witnesses signed in the presence on this 25th day of December 1865.
