All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** JOHN ARNOLI Born in New Orleans, 28 June 1861, when quite a youth, Mr. Arnoli’s parents moved to Plaquemines Parish where he attended public school and later moved to St. Martinville where young Arnoli was a diligent pupil of high scholl til the age of 18. He worked for awhile in clerical work and disliked it and worked for the railroad until 1891. Finally tiring of this sort of work, he found employment as clerk in the establishment of D. Meyervich until 1898. The same year he married and moved to Oakville, Plaquemines Parish, where he opened a general merchandise establishment and has built up a thriving business.
