The new Quarantine station opened 1 May 1892 and the 
following employees answered the roll call:

In accordance with the proclamation of His Excellency 
Governor Francis T. Nichols, I do now declare Quarantine 
against all interpical Mexican, Central, South America 
and West Indian Ports. In doing so, I will take occasion 
to thank those of you who has been former enployees, for 
the very valuable assistance you have rendered .....
