"Died on October 3,  1894 at 10 o'clock a.m.
		"D. W. BOWES
"Was buried October 5 at Point Pleasent Cemetery, son of
John and Elizabeth BOWES of Empire.   He leaves five children,
wife and four brothers and parents to morn his loss.
         
	"He has gone to rest
	From love ones here
	Through his Savior blessed
	Free from toil or fear
         
	"Weep not for him wife
	Weep not but trust
	In the one who gave his life
	Jesus Holy and just
         
	"Sleep on dear husband friend
	Slumber till Christ shall say
	To the faithful your voices blend
	In adoration to light the way
         
	"He has gone and not shall return
	But patients,  sisters, brothers and wife
	Tis our privilege   . ."  (not legible)
