She was 72. Dates, names of the various organizations with whom she was affiliated, and an active worker, are unimportant now to Mrs. Freeman who died of a massive heart attack, April 23-but her contributions were so abundant and significant that they can never be forgotten, especially since she influenced the lives of hundreds of kindergarden children as their beloved teacher, in Belle Chasse high School, where she employed great imagination with love to interest and educate the children in life's deeper values. Mrs. Feeeman worked constantly and was constant in her work, in so many areas. Though a founding member of the Belle Chasse Community Methodist Church, Mrs. Freeman gave of her talents as a vocalist, pianist and organistto many other churches who asked of her services, including the chapel on the Naval Air Station base. For a long time Mrs. Freeman would bring a little portable organ with her to add music for occasions and in places where there were no piano or organe Her work with the Bayhi Ravey Post of the American Legion in Belle Chasse brought color and interest to the many programs in which she participated. Names are not available of all of the organizations who derived the special benefits from association with and through the efforts of this lovely lady. Suffice to say they included civic, historical, patriotic, and social organizations, plus her friends apart of, and apart from these groups - which are many indeed. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband, a daughter Majorie Freeman of Silverdale, Washington, a son, Kenney Glenn Freeman, Long Valley, N.J. and six grandchildren.
