The impress of his life will not soon be removed. Even though he had been a member of the troop for only seven months his record as a scout was enviable in that he lived the principles which he had enshrined in his heart. Although the smallest boy in the troop all unconsciosly his presence brightened every group he was in. He lived intensley precision characterized his acts he accomplished things. This fact was demonstrated on the last hike, when he won first place in wood carving contest. His life truly typified the very essence of Scouting. His friendly smile his eager intent his helping hand, his willingness to assist and his interest in Scouting, marked him as one who would have risen high in the ranks of this greaat boy's movement. His brother-scouts and scout master shall greatly miss him. However we have the blessed consolation that someday we shall meet him again, in the land beyond which God has prepared for us, and there enjoy that fellowship which knows no parting. ***** Carlisle-of Carlisle, La. on Wednesday July 24, 1935 at 5 a.m. Ernestine Marie Gleason beloved wife of Stanhope Gordon Carlisle, a native of Carlisle La.
