She was the mother of Mrs B. J. Perez Sr., Mrs E N Perez, Mrs Edith Ballay, Paul, Leon, John, Clem, and Emmett Scobel; also survived by 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. a native of Plaquemines Parish. A requiem mass at Our Lady of Good Harbor Church, Buras La. ***** {published January 23, 1954} George Treadaway, a former member of the PIaquemines Parish Police Jury for several terms and prominently associated with the parish, died at his residence in Potash Saturday, Jan. 6. He was 80 years old and a native of Potash. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Leontine Treadaway by first marriage and the late Mrs. Eugnie Hingle by second marriage. Funeral services were held Monday from Algiers with requiem mass at St. Patrick church Home Place, and interment in St. Patrick cemetery at Home Place. Relatives, friends of the family and parish officials attended the funeral. Mr. Treadaway is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Stella Bendix Mrs Margaret Mehrhoff, Mrs. Leantine Hingle and his son Ernest Treadaway; his sister Mrs. Mary Buras and brothers, Elbridge, Henry, Anthony, James, Octave, Steve, Joseph, John and the late Samuel Treadaway. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The Plaquemines Gazette extends sympathy to the bereaved family. ***** On November 5, 1954 MARIE MELERINE ANSADI wife of the late Dominick Ansardi; mother of Abraham, Robert, Casimire, John and Louis Ansardi, Mrs Joseph Dragon and the late Adam, Jack, August, and Ambrose Ansardi; Casimire Melerine and the late Joseph, Celestine, and Cerillo Melerine, Mrs Miquel Perez and Mrs. Flander Dennis; also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; age 90 years; a native of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of Plaquemines Parish for the past 70 years.
