Two persons died early Sunday January 6, 1957 of injuries 
in separate automobile accidents in Plaquemines Parish. 
They were Mrs Lawrence Buras 64 of veince and William T 
Ellis of Walters Okla.

Wayne Balley, 16 year old son of Mr and Mrs Hewitt J Ballay, 
Buras, died in Hotel Dieu, New Orleans, Sunday evening of 
injuries received in an automobile crash last Wednesday night, 
January 27, 1957. Funeral services were held Tuesday with 
requim mass at Our Lady of Good Harbor church and interment 
in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras.

Hundreds of friends of Leander H Perez Jr., his father and 
mother Judge and Mrs. L H Perez, and family, were deeply 
grieved this week by the shocking, numbing tradegy of the 
death of the beautiful, indescribably lovely, Mrs. L H 
Perez Jr., affectionally known by her given name Catherine, 
mother of four precious children, the youngest not yet three 
months old.The long, endless procession quietly brought 
Catherine to her resting place in Metairie Cemetery. Catherine 
was 31. She leaves behind her so much love that only God in his 
infinite mercy can help those who survive her to try to live with 
this great loss. They are her husband, Leander H Perez Jr., her 
four children, Peggy 9, Cathy 8, Leander H. III, 5, and Paula 
Ann 2 months; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs Harrington 
Hilzim Jr. of Pass Christian, Miss; her sister, Mrs. Margaret H 
Reily; her brother W Harrington Hilzim Jr.

wife of the late Stanley Lanaux; age 89 years; a native of
Plaquemines Parish and a resident of New Olreans. Interment in
St. louis Cemetery.

survived by 3 grandchildren; a native of Pointe a la Hache
