Popich, Sr., a lifelong resident of Buras, died Sunday, April 5, 1987, at 5:00 p.m. He was the beloved husband of the late Annie Ragas and the father of Annabelle O'Brien, Mae Fazende, Gloria Sketchler, Joseph, Thomas and the late John Popich, Jr. He was the son of the late Tony and Anna Popich and brother of the late Mary Marinovich, Olivia Popich, Tony, Jr. and Nick Popich. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 34 great-children. He was 94 years of age. Interment was in the Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery. ***** Rene Paid Chauvin, Jr., a native of Boothville and a 35 year resident of Port Sulphur, passed away Saturday, April 4, 1987 at 10:30 a.m. He was the beloved husband of Carolina Chiappetta Chauvin and the father of Robert Glenn (Bobby), Darryl Joseph and Brent Rene Chauvin. He was the son of Mrs. Ella Mae Buras Chauvin and the late Rene Chauvin, Sr. Chauvin was the brother of Mrs. Betty C Mertz, Mrs. Linda Gilbert, Harvey, Louis R. and Richard Chauvin. He is survived by 4 grandchildren and was 63 years of age. Interment was in the St Patrick Mausoleuni in Port Sulphur. ***** Isaac Joseph David, 87 year old native of Plaquemine and a resident of Port Sulphur for 46 years, died Wednesday, April 1, 1987, in Hammond. He is survived by two daughters, Belle Stewart of Hammond and Louis David of Gretna and eight grand-children. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Khibodaux David: Interment was in Ister Cemetery. ***** Memorial Christopher Joseph Perez Born: January 6, 1965 Killed: August 28, 1987. ***** Lionel P. Yuratich of Buras died Sunday April 5, 1987 at 2:20 p.m. He was the beloved son of the late Lucy Rondey and Frank Yuratich. He was the brother of Mrs. Myrtle Scobel, Mrs Lydia Langston and Newton Yuratich and was 78 years of age. Interment was in Westlawn Memorial Park. *****
