Louis Buras Jr., a minister and former owner of Buras Consulting Instrumentation, died March 26 of complications from a stroke at Biloxi Regional Hospital in Biloxi, Miss. He was 66. The Rev. Buras was born in Port Eads and lived in Biloxi for the past 18 years. He helped establish Compressors Automation Controls, and oilfield service company in the New Orleans area. He also worked at Automation Associates, Inc., Caltronics-Pneutronics and other companies. He was an associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Harvey for five years, First Baptist Church in D'Therville, Miss., for three years, and Brodie Road Baptist Church in D'Iberville for 13 years. He also was a teacher at Bog Ridge Baptist Church and a minister at the Kare Center in Biloxi. He was a Navy and Coast Guard veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Albertha Sowell Buras; a son, Louis Buras III of Marrero; a daughter, Florence Buras Porter of Atlanta; four brothers, Kenneth, Vance, Huey and Harold Buras; and seven grandchildren. Cherished mother of Lisa Yuratich Keyes of Tuscaloosa, Al and Dr. Donald David Yuratich of Kenner, passed away on April 30, 1995 in Bogalusa. She was 64. She is survived by son-in-law, Dr. Lee N. Kayes and grandchildren, Halley Beckett Keyes and Grady Harrison Keyes of Thscaloosa, Al.; 2 sisters, Mary Saltaformaggio Snowden of Bogalusa and Angeline Saltaformaggio Stafford of Dickinson, Tx. Mrs. Yuratich was born in Bogalusa on May 1, 1930. She lived in Port Sulphur, La. for 32- years. She was a certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Plaquemines Parish General Hospital for 27 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Port Sulphur and Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa. She was a member of the Bogalusa Garden Club, Bogalusa Rosary Club and served on the Campfire Board of Directors. Beulah Menge McDonald lived on the East Bank of Plaquemines Parish prior to her marriage of 41 years to Michael Donald McDonald. She then moved to New Orleans, and upon his death in 1975 she lived in St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parishes. Her family included her daughters Donlene Butler, Home Economist in Plaquemines Parish, and Kathleen Doucet of Meraux, La., sons-in-law Dennis Butler and Johnny Doucet, grandsons Dennis Jr., Dean and Donald Butler, Troy and Todd Doucet, granddaughter Tiffany Doucet, granddaughters-in-law Susan Reed and Angelle Pitre, greatgranddaughters Caitlyn Butler and Taylor Doucet, and a third great grandchild due May 30, 1996.
