p.m. He was 77 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Grace 
S. Ducrow; the father of Donna Lepine, Denise Schneider and Daniel M. 
Ducrow; the son of the late Carl and Ernestine Ducrow; brother Carl 
Ducrow. A native of New Orleans, he was a resident of Belle Chasse for 
the past 38 years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to 
attend funeral services at Mothe Funeral Homes on Westbank Expressway. 
Burial took place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.

his horn. in Amite County. He warn 48 years old.  He is survived by his 
wife, Karen Dortman Netherland of Amite County; four daughters, Deena 
Barnhart of Gas City, md., LeAnne Netherland and Cathie Clark, both of 
Memphis and Jeanette Netherland of Sumit; two brothers, Robert Netherland 
of Redding, Calif. and John Netherland of McComb; an aunt, Nell Marie 
Niaperos; an uncle, Robert Welch; one grandchild and two nieces. Netherland 
was born Sept. 16,1948 in Oakland, Calif. He was the son of the late William 
Netherland and Avanell Welch Nrntherland. He warn a self employed welding 
contractor azid a member of the Baptist faith. Visitation took place at 
Catchiup Funeral Home in McComb. Burial took place at Hollywood Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Don Collura, Joe Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Chris Angers, 
Tim Bryant and Ron Hammonds.

equipment operator for Tempo Electro-Coal, died Oct.15, 1996 of cancer 
at his home. He was 62 years old. A lifelong resident of Braithwaite, 
his survivors including his wife, Mable W. Bienemy; five sons, Dwight, 
Karry,  Eric,  Justin  and Vincent Bienemy, Jr.; four daughters, Bernice 
Miller, Marietta Payne, Carolyn Bienemy and Shirlene Espadron'; two 
brothers, Leroy and Fiast Bienemy; Five sisters, Olivia, Louise, 
Henrietta, Edna and Geraldine Bienemy; 52 grandchildren and 17 great 
grandchildren. A funeral was held at St. Luke Baptist Church in 
Braithwaite. Burial took place in Promise Land Cemetery in Braithwaite.

member of the Houma nation, died Oct. 15, 1996 at 8:30 p.m. He was 75 
years old. The beloved husband of the late Yvonne Marquet Galle, he was 
the father of Manuel J. Galle Jr.; the son of the lale Helene Dupre Galle 
and Nicholas Galle; the brother of Lena Delcambre, Thelma Derouen, Willlie 
Gallet, Irving Galle, Lucy Lehouef, Sidney Galley Sr., Adam Galley, and 
Gilbert Galle; grandfather of Yvette Hilton, Todd Galle, Michelle Navarre 
and Tonya Galle; great grandfather of Holly Hilton, Andrew Navarre, Kayla 
Galle, Cody Galle and Meagan Navarre; father-in-Law of Mariloy Garcia 
Galle. A native of Monteeut, La., he was a resident of Belle Chasse. 
Donations were taken in his name at Assumption Chapel in Bertrandville, 
La. which will be used for masses.

7:30 p.m. He was 65 years old. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph 
R. Boudreaux and Helen Belenger Boudreaux; the brother of Rita B. Bergeron 
of Houma, Mandry J. Bourgeois  of Paradis and the late Rachel F. Rhodes and 
Dorothy B. Fincher. He was also survived by eight nieces, seven nephews and
a host of great nieces and nephews. He was a native of Houma and a resident 
of Belle Chasse for the past 20 years. Relatives and friends of the family 
were invited to attend the Masonic Funeral services from the chapel of 
Westside Funeral Home in Marrero.

Tricia Keith of Baytown, Texa8; the brother of the late Tony Young. He 
was a native of Sulphur, La. and a resident of Buras for the past 23

La. Burial took place at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton.

1996 at her daughter's home in Mandeville. She was 88 years old. Mrs. 
Krause was born in Pointe a la Hache and lived in New Orleans before 
moving to Mandeville two years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Jean 
K King; a sister, Ethel Almerico of Folsom; two brothers Ernest Welchley 
of New Orleans and Herbert Welchley of Butler, Pa.; a granchild and three
great great grandchildren. A funeral mass was said at Schoen Funeral Home 
in Convington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Leger; four brothers, 
Gerald, Clarence, Gabriel Arthur and John B. Lavigne, III. Family and

Home in Iota. Burial took place at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Iota.

Hepting Sr.; grandfather of Michelle, Kerry Corrie, Jody, Coyne, Catrina,

Oct. 1, 1996 in a diving accident in the Gulf of Mexico. He was 40 years 
old. He was born in Baton Bouge and lived in Belle Chasse for the past 
three years. Adams was the owner and Captain of the charter boat, Magic 
and was formerly the harbor master of C~ypress Cove Marina in Venice. He 
was also an employee of CF Industries in Donaldsville. Survivors include 
his fiancee, Carla Chiasson Suarez; his father, T. Ray Adams; his mother, 
Betty Jo Ross Adams and two brothers, Thomas Jeffrey and Charles A memorial 
services was held at Mothe Funeral Home In Marrero.

1996. She was 83 years old. She was born in Smoke Bend and lived in Belle 
Chasse for the past 33 years. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Mathieu; 
two daughters, Delta M. Greff and Beverly M. Dabria; a brother, Evans 
Brasset; two sisters, Lena Brasset and Lutesia Cantrelle; nine 
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A mass was said in her honor at 
Mothe Funeral Home on Westbank Expressway. Burial took place at Westlawn 
South Cemetery.

died on Saturday, August 24, 1996 at  3:30 a.m. He was 91 years old. 
He was the beloved husband of Lucy Barrois Cormier; the father of Amos 
Justin, Jr. son of the late Elizabeth Leger Cormier  and  Maximillian 
Cormier;  brother  of Ida Blanchard and the late Emelia Blanchard, Emily 
Broussard, Eva  Guidry, Adam, Joe Orenum, Felix, Mark, Ben and Lawrence 
Cormier; grandfather of Amos J. Cormier III, Arthur Cormier, Mack Cormier, 
Jene Aurele Cormier and Meran Marie Cormier and b.Ioved father-in-law of 
Aurele Moinet Cormier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of Churchpoint, LA, he was a resident of Port Sulphur, LA fbr the 
past 50 years Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of 
Freeport Sulphur Co., Buras High School, officers and members of K of C 
Council No.4033 and American Legion Post No. 193 were invited to attend 
funeral services.

accident on Hwy. 23. He was two years old. He was born in and was a 
lifelong. resident of Port Sulphur. Survivors  include  his mother, Rhodie

Williamson-Gause and Lorraine T. LaFrance. A funeral was held at Macedonia 
Baptist Church in Port Sulphur. Burial took place in Fisher Cemetery.

Jessie L. Morrill, brother of Dolores Feelen, Thomas N., Jemie L. Jr. and

an offshore oil company, died Nov. 3,  1996 at Meadowcrest Hospital of 
injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was 28 years old. Mr. Gause 
was a lifelong resident of Port Sulphur and a graduate of Port Sulphur High
School. Survivors include a son, Brent A. Duncan Gause; his mother, Jessie 
Williamson- Gause;  seven  brother., Reginald, Devon, Ryan, Colby, Luther, 
Alexander and Marc Gause; Four sisters, Capricia, Troy, Amber and Darci
Gause; hi. grandparents, Lola A. Moore and Geneva G. Clarida and a host of 
aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by
his father, Luther Gause Jr.; his stepfather, Calvin Peter LaFrance; his 
son, Avery Gause Jr.; his grandfather, James Harold Williamson; his 
grandmother, Geneva Gause; his brother, Shawn Calvin Gause. A funeral was 
held at Macedonia Baptist Church in Port Sulphur. Burial took place at 
Fisher Cemetery, also in Port Sulphur.

He was 86 years old. He was the beloved wife of Rosa Mae Comeaux Tabony;

Tabony; the brother of Lawrence Tabony and the late John and Robert Tabony.

died Aug.14, 1996 at 8:24 p.m.of cancer at West Jefferson Medical Center. 
He was 60 years old. Pellegrin was born in Golden Meadow and lived in 
Belle Chasse for the past eight years. He had worked for Patterson 
Trucking in Houma, Youngs Bros.,Binnings Construction Co. and Plaquemines 
Parish Heavy Equipment Co. He was a job steward and member of the Imamsters 
Local Union No. 270 for 34. years. He is survived by his wife, Beverly 
Williams Pellegrin, four sons, Jemle9 Ricky, James Jr and Karl Pellegrin; 
three daughters, Myra Matherne, Crystal "Joanie" Vicknair and Phyllis Di 
Febbo; three brothers, Jessie, Ebert and Robert Pellegrin; two sisters, 
Leola Benoit and Jeannette LaBoud. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 
five great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews. He was preceded 
in death by his parents,Leona Comtranches Pellegrin and Albert Peilegrin 
and two siblings, Angelina Dupre and Unwood Liner. Relatives and friends

Carmalita Bartholomew, Robin Teran, Diana Burge, Bonnie Juarez, Clark

Rodriguez Cota, he was the father of Darryl Gene Cota, George Francis Cota 
Jr., Mitchell Ray Cota and Tami Lynn St. Germain; son-in-law of Nita 
Rodriguez; father-in-law of Debbie, Lesa and Mindy Cota; brother of Dolly 
Naquin, Emma Young, Margie Nalder, Della Teslik, Gloria Emerson, Katie 
Sandoval, Edward Cota and the late Julie Cota Sounder and Sonny Cota; 
grandfather of Teena St. Germain, Ryan Cota, Tiffany St. Germain, Jessica

of Paige Hellums and Brianna Ledet. He was a native of San Diego and lived

8:45 p.m. afVer a long illness. She was 85 years old. A resident of Alma, 
Ga., she was formerly of Lockport, La. and a native of Venice. The wife of 
the late Earl G. Gasquest, she was the mother of Earlene G. Carter of Alma, 
Ga. and the late Matilda G. Mitchell of Lockport. She is survived by one 
sister, Blanche Cronin of Venice and by 6 grandchildren Sherlene Boudreaux, 
Connie Daniels Hearn, Carol Pitre, Holly Hebert, Bobbi Hochstetler and Lisa 
Carter. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and three great-great 
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by  her  parents,  Joseph Maxmillian 
Ledet and Marie Louise Buras Ledet; two sisters, Josephine Buras and Viola 
Gartoucies and three brothers, Phillip, Ernest and Mervin. A mass and 
Christian burial were held June 5 at Holy Saviour Catholic Church in 
Lockport with burial at the church's mausoleum.

Touro Infirmary He was 72 years old. Pinkins was born In Ostrica and 
lived in Buras for the past 27 years. He was a member of the Mount 
Olivet Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Enez T. Pinkins; 
four sons, Glenn, McKinley Sr., Theedore Sr. and Webster Pinkins Jr.; 
a brother, Felton Pinkins, Sr.; two sisters, Virginia Hunter and Pauline 
Mitchell and eight grandchildren. A funeral was held at Mount Olivet 
Baptist Church in Boothville. Burial took place at Our Lady of Good Harbor
Catholic Church Cemetery in Buras.

Seafood and Thicking, died July 22, 1996 of lung cancer at Pendleton 
Memorial Hospital. He was 61 years old. Riley was born in Davant and lived 
in New Orleans for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. John Divine 
Missionary Baptist Church, the CEP Booster Club and Bethlehem Mamonic Lodge 
No.257. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Wesco Riley; four sons, Gerald, 
David and Leo Riley Jr. and Charles Williamson; two daughters, Aithea and 
Selika Riley; three stepdaughters, Fredrika B Trotter, Cheryl Bonds and 
Jenifer B. Arceneaux; his father, Clifford Riley; two brothers, Irvin and 
Leonard Riley; three sisters, Ella Mae Riley, Clara Williams and Shirley 
Griffln; 10 grandchildren and four step grandchildren. Funeral services were 
held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Pointe a la Hache. Burial took place

to Port Sulphur in 1976. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan

Legion and Holy Name Society. Survivors include a son, Joseph E Defley

old. Mrs. Dewey was born in New Orleans and lived in Belle Chasse for 
the past 34 years. She was secretary of the Friday Morning Tho Bowling 
Club at Expressway Lanes in Gretna and was also a member of the Terrytown 
Ladies Bowling Leagile and the N'Awlins Dawlins. Survivors include her 
husband, Joseph J. Dewey; a son, Joseph T. Dewey; a daughter, Jo Ellen R. 
Dewey; a step-daughter, Rebecca M. Boreros; a foster daughter, Sachea 
Nicole Coombs and two brothers, Thomas B. Hackler of San Diego and Ira C.
Hackler. A funeral was held at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey. Burial took 
place in Westlawn Memorial Park.

years old. Mr. Cognevich was born in Thumph and lived in Belle Chasse. He 
worked for Gulf Oil for 26 years. He was also an Army veteran of World War 
II, serving in Europe and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help 
Catholic Church in Belle Chasse. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude 
Carcich Cognevich; two sons, George Wayne and Kenneth John Cognevich; a 
daughter, Christine Marie Cognevich; four grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren. A mass was said in his honoror at OLPH Church and burial

died June 27, 1996 at the hospital in Liberty. His death came sudden and 
unexpectedly. Hoskin was born Sept.13, 1935 in Boothville and was the son 
of Chester Paul Hoskin Sr. and Estelle Buras Hoskin Sherman. He lived in 
Liberty for the past 19 years and retired from AT&T. He was also a member 
of the Army, the Pioneer Club with AT&T and was a Roman Catholic. Hoskin 
married Carylon Elliot in 1961 and she survives him, along with one 
daughter, Stacy Monnin Hoskin of Kansas City, MO; one son, Paul E. Hoskin 
of Kansas City; his mother, Estelle Buras Sherman of Boothville; one step 
brother, David Monnin of California; one nephew, Frank J. Adolph II of 
Louisiana; one uncle, Raymond Buras and one aunt, Mildred Buras Bubrig, 
both of La. Services were held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel July 8.

science degree from the University of New Orleans where he was pursuing a 
master's degree in English. He also attended LSU. He was a staff sergeant

died Sunday, April 7, 1996 at the Plaquemines Parish Comprehensive Care 
Center in Port Sulphur. He was 84. Mr. Lueth was born in Avoca, Iowa, and 
lived in Buras for 50 years. He worked for Gulf Oil for 27 years. He was 
a Navy veteran. In 1988, he received the St. Louis Medal of the Archdiocese 
of New Orleans. He was a member and chaplain of Dimitry Vidacovich American 
Legion Post 193 and a member of Father Anastase Douay Knights of Columbus

Louisiana State University, died Thesday of undetermined causes at his 
home. He was 29. Mr. Langston was born in Port Sulphur and lived in Baton

and was on the dean's list at LSU. He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma, an 
honorary service fraternity. Survivors include his father, Thomas P.

March 18, 1996 of liver cancer at his home. He was 76. Mr. Borne was born 
in Braithwaite and lived in Chalmette for the past 28 years. He was a 
graduate of Soule Business College. He was a corporal in the army. He was 
past president of Our Lady of Prompt Succor's Holy Name Society and an 
usher for Our Lady of Prompt Succor. He was a member of the Senior Citizens 
Club at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Pakenham Chapter No.3926 
of the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife,
Rose Marie Borne; a son, Michael J. Borne; a daughter, Christine B. Widmer; 
a sister, Kate Vogt; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Funeral
