Miss Hazel dobson is the amiable and charming daughter of our esteemed fellow-citizens Mr. Ernest Dobson and Mr Peter Labasse is a most worthy young man of New Orleans. We extend to the happy young couple our heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the happiness and prosperity. Mr and Mrs Labasse will make their future home in New Orleans. ***** On Saturday April 21, 1928 in Algiers La Mr Wilma Rigaud and Miss Hattie Benen were married. Miss Hattie Benen is the charming daughter of Mr C E Benen of Pointe a la Hache and Mr Wilma Rigaud is the son of Mr and Mrs Ulysse Rigaud of Jesuit Bend La and fully worthy of the prize he has won. The couple are popular young people who have a large circle of friends whom we join in extending them best and sincerest wished for a long and happy married life. Mr and Mrs Wilma Rigaud will make their home in New Orleans. ***** On Tuesday April 24, 1928 Mr Herman Wallace and Mrs Alice Watley were joined in marriage by Judge Paul T Hingle of Pointe a la Hache. Mr Herman Wallace is a young gentleman from Union Parish La., and Mrs Alice Watley is from Buras. The happy couple have our best wishes. ***** At the St Thomas Church of Pointe a la Hache on Wednesday July 11th at 6:00 p.m. was celebrated the nptial ceremony of Mr Richard Buras and Miss Elsie Martin members of prominet families of this community. Rev. Father C. Schneider officiating. The bride, Miss Elsie Martin was escorted to the altar by her father, Mr adolph Martin; and had as her maid of honor her sister Eunice Martin and the bridemaids Miss Inez Perry, Miss Lena Ferande, Miss Myrtle Stork, and Miss Gladys Cosse; Mrs Peter Labasse was matron of honor. Little Mildred Ansardi was flower girl, little Estelle Seide was angel, and little Albert Jeanfreau ring-bearer. The groom had as his best man Eural Hingle and fred Benen, Heard Ansardi, Hillery Williams and Allen Cosse acted as groomsmen. ***** A very pretty wedding of the season was that of Mr. Albert Curt LaFrance and Miss Edna Doane. which was celebated at Lady Star of the Sea Church, New Orleans, last Thursday evening, December 29th, 1927, in the presence of a large number of the relatives and friends of the families of the contracting parties. Father Levesque officiated. Miss Edna Doane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Doane, is a charmingm and lovely young lady had as attendants Miss Loretta Gallay as maid of honor and Miss Helen Lefevre as bridesmaid and were handsomely and becomingly attired and carried beautiful bouquets. Albert Curt Lafrance son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Lafrance of Pointe-a-la-Hache; is one of our most popular and worthy young men and had for bestman his brother Clifford Lee Lafrance, and Arthur Doane, brother of the bride, was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the groom's uncle, Mr. Arthur Vivien., where the newlyweds received the congratulations and we1l-wishes of their many friends and whom we join In extending the young couple our sincerest and best wishes for happiness and prosperity through out their married life. Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance will make their future home in P'te-a-la-Hache. They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents. *****
