Louis Bizette (Bizet), born 1 Sep 1765, was the son of 
Pointe Coupee pioneer Francois Bizette and his wife Marie Claude 
Champagne.  On 8 Aug 1786, he wed Henrietta Gremillon in a double 
ceremony with his brother Francois, both of whom married sisters.
Henrietta Gremillon, born 8 Jan 1772, was the daughter of Louis 
Gremillon and Marie Joseph Robillar.  

Louis Bizette is listed on the 1810 Pointe Coupee Census.  In 1812,
he owned four arpents of land, obtained from Julian Poydras, "fronting 
the False River facing the Isle" by a depth of forty arpents.  
This land was bounded on the sides by Antoine Descuir on the west, 
and Alexander Labore on the east.  Louis Bizette was likely a farmer 
and fisherman who had eight known children:
