He was baptized on 15 May 1794 and his Godparents were Gabriel Berza and Pelagie Marianeau. On 10 Jul 1814, he married Marcilene Bergeron the daughter of Louis and Modeste Bergeron. Marcelin Bizette was the grandson of Pointe Coupee pioneer Francois Bizette and Marie Claude Champagne. Marcilene Bergeron was the great granddaughter of Francois Bizette and Marie Claude Champagne, as well as Guillaume Bergeron and Agnes LaRenaudiere on both her paternal and maternal line. On 11 Dec 1829, Benjamin Poydras sold two arpents of land fronting the False River, bounded by Simon David and Etienne Bergeron, to the brothers Alexis and Marcelin Bergeron. Marcelin Bizette was a Chenal farmer and had possibly nine children yet only five are known: 1) Maximilien Bizette b: 1824 m #1: 5 Jun 1848 to Amelia David m #2: 8 Aug 1960 to Nathalie Saizon 2) Angeline Bizette m: 1855 to Michael Phillan 3) Jules Bizette m: 1856 Melarie Lemay 4) Eusabe Bizette m: Adeline Godreau 5) Marcelin Bizette Jr. On 16 May 1846, Marcelin Bizette sold two sections of land totaling $420. Three-fourths of an arpent of land fronting the False River, bordering Paul Jarreau, was sold to Paulin Bergeron for $180. Hilaine Bizette bought one-half an arpent frontage with improvements on the False River for $207.
