BURNS CEMETERY - Rapides Parish
(also called Burns/Blair Cemetery)

Directions:  Take LA Hwy. 28 West in Alexandria and go approximately 4.5 miles
past the turnoff to Gardner.  Turn left onto Ian Johnson Road, and continue
for 3.4 miles.  Turn right on Irving Long Road and go .7 miles. Turn right
onto Joe Ivey Road and continue for .2 mile before turning right onto a dirt
road.  There is no sign on the road, but it is the first dirt road to the
right.  The cemetery  is located about 1/2 acre in size, and is located about
.1 down this dirt road,  fenced, and maintained.   Genealogical information in
brackets was provided by family members and should be used as a clue until
verified personally.]  Tombstone inscriptions were recorded in rows from the
front of the cemetery to the back by Mary Parker Partain, June 1990, and
submitted by Jane Parker McManus (mcmanus@linknet.net).
