At blinking light (LA Hwy. 115), go straight for 1.3 miles. This large, approximately two-acre cemetery is located on the right side of the road, just to the left of Deville Church of God. Daze', Zebulon Nolan - 19 Sep 1992 [only date] * * * Deville, Clint - 28 Aug 1968/29 Jul 1990 [Note: Focal point of this gravesite is a wooden cross 7 feet tall at the foot of the grave. The wood is about 4 inches thick, 12 inches in width, and imbedded in the wood are arrowheads and a belt buckle with Indian & buffalo. Around each end of the cross is a leather thong. Over 150 names or initials of friends and family members have been wood burned onto this cross.] Carved on the front crosspiece: Clint Deville - "I soar with the eagle, I follow the buffalo, the Great Spirit guides my path" [Carved on the reverse side of the cross:] "Exodus 20:13, Thou shalt not kill" "Here's to honor" "In loving memory of the young man whose smile, kind words, and friendship we will carry in our hearts forever." * * * Trisler, Marion H.
